 Citations should conform to A Uniform System of Citation (16th edition 1996) Deadline:  No formal deadline.  Accepts submissions all year long.  Decisions for the Winter issue made in early August.  Decisions for the Spring issue made by late December.  The Journal explains the significance of recent changes or developments as well as addresses the future of law. Past volumes have included articles on copyright infringement, ERISA, gender equity, antitrust, collective bargaining, and regulation of indecent speech.

3.      University of Denver Sports and Entertainment Law Journal
 
Accepts articles throughout the year.  Allow about 20 days for them to review submission.  Contacts those selected for publication via phone.  Contacts those not selected either through email or regular mail.
 
Guidelines:
·         Must use Times New Roman Font, size 12
·         Citations must comply with the Bluebook current edition
·         The Journal also uses  A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005), copyrighted by the Columbia for citations
·         Article abstract of no more than 150 words must be included
·         Statement of academic and professional affiliations must also be included
·         Must include a cover letter that includes:
o   Title of submission
o   Author’s email address
o   Author’s mailing address
o   Author’s daytime telephone number or a number where they can be reached
o   Two-sentence summary of the article for promotional purposes for their website

4.      Tulane University (Sports Lawyers Journal)
 
Has rolling submission deadline, but the sooner the article is received, the better chance it has for being published
 
Guidelines
·         Only accepts articles from law students or recently graduated students
·         Limit of 40 pages double spaced, excluding endnotes or footnotes (although longer articles will be considered)
·         Must be a topic that has direct contemporary relevance to the sports industry
·         Must be in Microsoft Word format

5.      Marquette Sports Law Review
 
Published in June and January.  Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.  There is no yearly or semester deadline.  When an article is accepted it is placed on the production cycle and will be published in either the spring or fall depending on the time it was submitted and the current production cycle.  They accept any sports related article, book review or student comment
Submissions are preferred electronically submitted to Kristen Knauf, Lead Articles Editor at kristen.knauf@gmail.com. The email must include the author’s name, contact information, and biographical information.  The biographical information should include a personal resume or biography detailing occupational and educational background.  The contact information should include an email address as well as mailing address.  This information shouldn’t appear anywhere within the attached manuscript.

Guidelines for the manuscript
·         Citations must conform to the Harvard Citator (Bluebook 18th edition)
·         Authors must be able to provide any source the editors cannot locate
Review Board looks at 1) proper use of Bluebook style, 2) quality of writing, 3) organization, reasoning and analysis, 4) quality of research, and 5) novelty and uniqueness of topic when deciding whether to publish submission.

6.      Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal
 
Accepts articles from academics, practitioners and Fordham students (does not accept articles from non-Fordham students).
 
The Journal follows the conventions of the Chicago Manual Style (15th ed. 2003).  Generally, citations follow the Bluebook (18th ed.)
 
The Journal accepts submissions via their website at http://law.fordham.edu/publications/index.ihtml?pubID=200
 
The review period begins in June, with offers extended in early July.  Submissions received after January are considered for the next review period.

 7.      University of Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Journal
 
Published twice a year from articles by practitioners and academics.

8.      Texas Review of Entertainment and Sports Law (TRESL)
 
Accepts submissions from judges, lawyers, professors and students that report and comment on existing law or suggest new avenues of growth for the law. Authors can also submit book reviews, commentaries, essays, notes, comments, and bibliographies.  Submissions are reviewed blindly throughout the year on a rolling basis. 
 
Guidelines:
·         Submissions should conform with the Texas Rules of Form (10th ed. 2003) and the Bluebook (18th edition).   
·         TRESL follows the Texas Law Review Manual on Usage and Style (9th ed. 2002), Chicago Manual of Style (14th ed. 1993), Bryan A. Garner, A Dictionary of Modern Legal Usage (2nd ed. 1995).
·         Must be single spaced
·         Print on one-side only
·         Use footnotes rather than endnotes
·         An electronic copy of any accepted manuscript is required
·         Must attach a cover letter and curriculum vitae with the manuscript

10.  Willamette Sports Law Journal
 
Online journal.  Journal is published in the Winter and Spring. Primarily contains student pieces but also accepts non-Willamette affiliated practitioners and scholars. Generally requires electronic submissions.  However, if you do send a submission via regular mail, an electronic version will also be required. All submissions should be in MS Word or Rich Text format.  Submissions should be sent to Wills Mitchell at wmitchel@willamette.edu. Regular mail submissions should be sent to:
